VENUE

Our venue for 2018’s Revival Gathering is a beautiful 28 acre organic farm on Vashon Island, right off the coast of West Seattle (unceded Puyallup territory). The property has a large outdoor kitchen, several large gathering tents in addition to ours, 4 outdoor showers, 5 composting toilets, a grassy stage/amphitheater, and is a short walk to the ocean!

Most of the grounds are accessible to people of altered-abilites (including toilets, showers, etc), and we’re building a ramp into the yurt. Please know that the grounds are grassy, and the stage/amphitheater is on a sloping hill.

DATES / SCHEDULE

June 21-24th 2018

OUR OFFICIAL SCHEDULE SPANS 3 FULL DAYS.
Building relationship takes time. Especially when there’s SO many incredible participants!!!
WE INVITE YOU TO ATTEND THE ENTIRETY OF THE EVENT:

We ask those who can, to arrive on THURSDAY around 4PM, to settle in, have an informal dinner and enjoy music / solstice festivities into the early eve. Our official programming will start with an Opening Circle after breakfast (@9:30AM ON FRIDAY). Please arrive as early as possible so you can get your sleeping gear setup and settle in. This Opening Circle will be a vital introduction to the weekend and each other.

We’ll officially end our weekend @3PM ON SUNDAY, giving people ample time to get back home and settle in before Monday…

ALL MEALS INCLUDED

We think it’s very important to break bread together, so all meals at the 2018 Revival will be eaten collectively! We’ve hired a lead chef (the amazing Aña Marjenka!) who’s brought in a full team of Breitenbush Hot Springs chefs!. In order to keep our costs low, we ask that you bring a simple potluck dish for Thursday’s dinner, 1 or 2 bulk items (details emailed to you after registration), and help in the kitchen when inspired! Also BYO dish ware, and any extracurricular drinks/snacks you may want throughout the day/night! More info on all this in your registration packet…

LODGING

Camping is free with registration, but there are AirBnB’s and other lodging available nearby for those who’d rather have a bed. We’ll be reserving local rooms in advance at the Hostel & Vashon Lodges, for elders and those who don’t care to camp (accommodation fees responsibility of participant, please inquire ASAP about these).

Car camping is allowed if you are able to sleep and live directly out of your vehicle. There will be no room in the parking lot for tents, tables, etc. Please be self-contained and tidy.

30 large tents & sleeping pads will be available for people who don’t own camping gear.
Please contact us if you are in need of this.

TRAVEL

Public transport to the island is very easy from all parts of Seattle & Tacoma. Carpooling is encouraged for those driving, as we have limited parking space onsite, (and we depend on our biosphere for life ; ). Carpool group will be setup soon, along with transit maps, etc…

The venue is an easy (and beautiful) 8 minute drive from the Fauntleroy/Vashon Ferry terminal.

DRUG & ALCOHOL POLICY

This gathering is all about connection with self, with each other, with the natural world, and with world changing ideas/processes! We understand that certain mind altering substances can enhance these connections, (and while we aren’t against them in general), we want to foster this particular Revival container in relative sobriety, for the safety and emotional wellbeing of all.

Explicitly, we ask that people not indulge in any illegal substances while at the Revival. Alcohol is ok in small amounts over dinner. (Have a glass of wine or beer, all good), but drunkenness will not be tolerated. There will be a smoking area, but we ask you not to smoke marijuana there. This is a family friendly event. Let’s keep it copacetic, ya?

We invite learning, music, novel people, and robust experience to be the drugs of choice. (And there’ll be absolutely no shortage of this!!! … You in? ; )
